No story to go with these photos; we spent most of the last weeks of our summer being lazy and enjoying Ana's increasingly happy and engaged personality. She now smiles often, is much more alert, stays awake for longer stretches, and enjoys our walks even when she's not sleeping. And she seems to be utterly fascinated by leaves. Fall could be a very exciting time for her.

Carter, Karen, and Teo's visit

Our California friends Carter and Karen and their son Teo came to visit (twice, actually, with a trip to Bar Harbor in between). Teo is about a month younger than Ana, so, naturally, they hit it off. We did a whole lot of nothing, which was great.
